使徒約翰在約翰一書3:14-15說:“我們因為愛弟兄，就曉得是已經出死入生了。沒有愛心的，仍住在死中。凡恨他弟兄的，就是殺人的；你們曉得凡殺人的，沒有永生存在他裏面。”這段經文是說給那些信仰主賜予水和聖靈的福音而出死入生的人聽的。它告訴我們，如果我們確實已經從天下一切的罪孽中得救，那麼我們應互愛。因此，如果我們信仰這個真福音已經出死入生，那麼我們彼此相愛、做神的工作是正確的。
