“割禮也是心裏的。”當我們用心信仰時我們便得救。我們在心裏必須得救。神說：“真割禮也是心裏的，在乎靈，不在乎儀文。這人的稱讚不是從人來的，乃是從神來的”(羅馬書2:29)。我們必須在心裏領受罪孽得赦。如果我們心裏沒有罪孽得赦，那是無效的。人有“內在的自我和外在的自我”，每個人必須在心裏領受罪孽得赦。
使徒保羅對猶太人說：“割禮也是心裏的”。那麼，猶太人割除什麼呢？他們割除一部分肉體。但是，使徒保羅說：“割禮也是心裏的。”猶太人表面上受割禮，但保羅說割禮是心裏的。當我們成了神的子女，他會在心裏告訴我們。
保羅不是談論外表的割禮，而是心裏的割禮與赦罪。所以，當他說“即便有不信的，這有何妨呢”(羅馬書3:3)？他的意思是“如果人在心裏不信。”他不是談表面的信仰，而是說“在心裏信仰。”我們必須知道使徒保羅的意思，什麼是赦罪。我們還必須認識到如何靠神的道在我們心裏領受罪孽得赦。
