第1節:“你要寫信給以弗所教會的使者說：那右手拿著七星、在七個金燈檯中間行走的，說:”
以弗所教會是靠信仰保羅傳播的水和聖靈福音而建成的神的教會。文中的“七個金燈檯”指神的教會，信仰水和聖靈福音的人聚集在一起，“七星”指當時神的僕人。短語“那右手拿著七星”指神親自掌握和利用自己的僕人。
