今天，我愿意和大家分享神赐给我们永生的消息。约翰福音3:35-36说:“父爱子，已将万有交在他手里。信子的人有永生；不信子的人得不着永生，神的震怒常在他身上。”这里说父神已经把永生赐给了那些信仰他儿子的人。神在这里所说的永生正是字面上的意思，永远地活着。你们能够领受永生，永远活着，这是多么大的福气啊?
人们需要请求神的恩典多长时间才能获得永生呢?中国皇帝秦始皇渴望永生，派遣无数大臣到处找长生不老的药，结果徒劳无益。只是世上没有长生不老的药能够实实在在地带给我们永生。无数人找不到领受真生永生的方法。人类真正领受永生的惟一方法是信仰耶稣基督神的儿子作为救世主。换句话说，我们领受永生惟一的方式是信仰神的儿子已经赐给我们的水和圣灵的福音。我们信仰他已经把我们拯救出天下罪孽的真理就能赢得永生。当我们这么考虑，主已经赐给我们水和圣灵的福音，使我们能够永生时，我们只能衷心感谢。
