今天选自约翰福音3:21的经文说:“但行真理的必来就光，要显明他所行的是靠神而行。”那些还没有从水和圣灵重生的人只能顺从他们自己的思想。任何顺从自己想法的人因为自己的行为都注定要灭亡。但是如果我们改变方向，从自己的思想转变到主的真理上来，并且信仰他，那么，我们就能遇到拯救的真光，居住在光里面。现在世人仍然被禁锢在充满黑暗的属灵混乱里。一旦他们认识到自己的灵魂已经陷入罪孽，他们便不会再对自己的思想充满希望了。相反，他们应该把希望寄托在耶稣身上,耶稣是真光。只有那时他们才会信仰藉水和圣灵福音而来的耶稣，成为神的儿女。我们的主藉水和圣灵的福音已经使我们这些曾经属于黑暗的人一次性成了神的百姓(以弗所书5:8)。
