伽利略奧•伽利略因爲說了句“但地球仍然是運動著的”的話而聞名。他出生於1564年出生，當時天主教會的權力已擴大到整個歐洲。在伽利略之前，實際上還有別人，一個名叫哥白尼的人也認爲地球圍繞太陽運轉。但當時，哥白尼的理論根本不被接受。後來，當伽利略用他的望遠鏡觀察天體時，他發現哥白尼的日心說是完全正確的。
