E, più precisamente, che cos'è un'estate in Italia? Da qualche tempo con l'espressione 'estate italiana' non ci si limita più a parlare di una stagione in una determinata area geografica ma di un tempo che, nei decenni, ha costruito un vero e proprio immaginario e un'atmosfera fatti di stabilimenti balneari, tormentoni alla radio, gelati, costumi da bagno, biglie sulla sabbia, frammenti di vite incrociati destinati a durare, se va bene, per pochi mesi soltanto. "Certe estati" è un viaggio in cinque puntate dentro le storie dell'estate italiana, con un ospite e un disco 45 giri jukebox per ogni episodio, un viaggio insieme pubblico e privato dentro ciò che ha reso le nostre estati tanto speciali.
