Ragavan's stellar resume includes graduating in Electrical Engineering from IIT-Madras, worked in Embedded System Design in Silicon Valley for 15 years, and now back to Chennai, India as a full time Musician/Music Educator. As a Techie, Vocalist, Multi-Instrumentalist (who plays the Saxophone,Violin, Flute, Guitar etc. etc.), Music Educator - What inspired Ragavan to make these choices at every step? What keeps Ragavan going everyday? Ragavan could pretty much choose any career path such as - High Tech Management which brought tremendous cash flow but chose a life in Music. In this insightful conversation, Ramya talks to Ragavan about Music and Life - Carnatic Music, World Music, Music Activism in Carnatic Music, a controversial topic of substance use in Indian Classical Music, Gen Z - Traditional Music and the future of Music as an Art form.
