En 2022 se dispararon las agresiones sexuales en España, algo que también ha sucedido en 2023. Así, desde 2019 y hasta 2022, según el Balance de criminalidad del cuarto trimestre de 2022, las agresiones sexuales se dispararon nada menos que un 53,2%. El número de violaciones entre 2021 y 2022 un 34%. Entre enero y septiembre de 2023 hubo 3.693 violaciones, lo que supone 405 más que en el mismo periodo el año anterior. Nada menos que un 12% de incremento en un año. En la ciudad de Madrid, entre 2022 y 2023 el incremento de denuncias por agresión fue de un 90%, pasando de 210 a 399. Las violaciones grupales se han multiplicado por dos.
