  • Episode 265: Chelsfield's Belldrinkers latest joy for Christmas
    Dec 20 2025

Darren Weale talks with Dave Griffiths of The Belldrinkers about their latest Christmas song, 'Cross Me Off Your Christmas List', newly released on You Tube and music streaming channels such as Spotify.

Created by Dave and Lester, with numerous others with Chelsfield links, most of all the Five Bells pub, the songs have become a highlight of the year and a bit of a Santa Dash to get completed in time for Christmas every year, as Dave explains.

The Belldrinkers can be found on channels including You Tube, Spotify, Apple Music, Facebook, and more.

Chester Zoo, Vulcan bombers, The Belldrinkers Philharmonic Chorus, and Truro Cathedral's organ all form part of this 'Ska revival with slightly mad sounding brass' and a singer, now aged 16, who was 5 when their first song was recorded 11 years ago.

Dave pays tribute on the podcast and in the video to a late Belldrinker, Paul Skinner, who sadly passed this year.

Over 400 people undertook a 5K run along the runway at 6:30am. We speak with people from the RAF Benevolent Fund, Petts Wood Runners, Bromley Rugby Club Girls, and the Viking and Spitfire who wheeled and ran the challenge!
