While some of the standard state park attractions such as hiking and fishing will draw some visitors in, it is the history of this fascinating island that will draw most of the visitors. Home to Harman and Margaret Blennerhassett in the late 1800's, a replica of their home stands today. The real draw comes from their partnership with Aaron Burr who was full of scandalous events including a major step towards treason according to some at this very island.
