    What a heartbreak of a weekend for the boys. Sitting there with a Hideki Matsuyama winning ticket while holding a 1 shot lead on the 18th tee seemed like a winner. Hideki made his first back nine bogey on the 72nd hole to send the tournament to a playoff with Chris Gotterup who birdied 5 of the last 6 to put himself in position. Gotterup would go on to birdie the playoff hole to win for the 2nd time in only 3 starts of 2026. Patrick Reed has all but sealed up his 2027 PGA Tour Card by way of the DP World Tour.
