About this listen

This episode we hear from Jo & Kai of Kaiko Fidgets.

Kai is an entrepreneur with dyslexia and autism who founded Kaiko Fidgets at the age of 11. He shares with us the reason behind creating Kaiko Fidgets and how he has managed his disability throughout his journey. Jo, Kai's mum, talks to us about learning about Kai's disability, adapting to meet his needs, the growth of Kaiko Fidgets and quitting her job. Jo and Kai also share their views on what the community should focus on to support autistic children. Jo talks about the importance of mental health and finding the right balance between education and her child's emotional wellbeing.
