Podcast Show Notes

Series 11 Episode 1

Guest: Danny Turner

In this episode I talk to the inspirational Danny Turner.

Danny is the creator of Beyond The Clippers. A group which aims to raise awareness in men's mental health through the use of barbering and the industry.

From talking at the biggest barber event in Europe and creating an affiliation, so other shops and barbers can use the platform for their clients, Danny aims on making barber shops a safe place for open & confidential conversations.

We cover:

- Men’s mental health

- The significance of lived experience

- Getting men talking in the barbers

- Normalising conversations and reducing stigma and shame

- Encoring people to seek help

- Self-confidence and self esteem

- Creating long term change though helping other barbers to follow suit.
