They’re watching every Academy Award Best Picture Winning film; each episode features two films that share a common thread, pitted against one another in single-elimination. The winner advances to the next round; the loser goes home. It’s a Battle Royale; it’s a Tournament of Champions; it’s March Madness… but with movies. Join Darren, Kendall, Sam, and Ben Shaw (and the occasional special guest) as they get together to talk about what they’ve seen, share some fun film facts, and posit all their opinions - whether educated or completely unfounded. It’s all about family.. but not necessarily in the Fast and Furious kind of way.

    When you put them together, these two films have it ALL - the Good, the Bad, and the Problematically Ugly. And the Shaws are going to get into every bit of it, plus some additional stuff: movie recommendations, family trip anecdotes, NEXT-LEVEL literary criticism and genre study, and encouragement for students to use more wikipedia.
