Spanning back from the PlayStation in 1996 up through it's upcoming release of Requiem next year, this series has been developed and published by Capcom on every generation of consoles and handhelds in between. Haunting melodies and tense strings are where the series strength lies... but surely there's a few breaks in the tension, right?

Today's episode is focused on Hironobu Sakaguchi's Lost Odyssey. Originally released on the Xbox 360 in 2008 to help draw in Japanese audiences, this Final Fantasy inspired JRPG was one of the handful of releases from Mistwalker. The soundtrack was composed by long-time collaborator Nobuo Uematsu, but free from brand expectation allowed wild experimentation from their normal output.
