 Il Beato Ermanno il Contratto, o il Rattrappito, o lo storpio. Nasce (in Germania nel 1013) orribilmente deforme, rattrappito appunto, tutto storto. Eppure, con immensa fatica e dolore, imparò a leggere, a scrivere, diventando poi un eminente studioso e scrittore, musicologo (autore, tra l'altro, del Salve Regina). Era anche una persona meravigliosa, sempre cordiale e disposto ad aiutare. Era grato per tutto l'aiuto che riceveva e voleva ricambiare, è la testimonianza che con la forza di volontà e la tenacia (e l'amore) si può raggiungere ogni meta.
