A church can have the right words, the right routines, and still be missing the one thing that makes it shine: love. We open Revelation 2:4–5 and let it confront us with a hard question God asks his own people: when did you stop loving me and loving each other like you did at first?

From there, we introduce our “Back To The First” theme and use a surprisingly sharp throwback to make it stick: VHS tapes, Blockbuster, and the rule “Be kind, rewind.” If you returned the tape without rewinding, you paid a price and the next person started in the middle. Spiritually, we do the same thing when we get stale, bitter, complacent, or self-righteous and forget the first works that shaped us. We talk church unity, spiritual maturity, and why drifting usually happens slowly, not all at once.

We also get practical about Christian repentance and discipleship: real repentance is an inward change that shows up as outward transformation, and “do” matters more than talk. We share a simple daily rhythm for rebuilding your walk with God, and we challenge you to stop carrying dead weight that keeps you stuck in anxiety, bondage, or burnout. If you’re ready to make God first again, press play, share this with someone who needs a rewind, and then subscribe and leave a review so more people can find the message.
