The USC Trojans added another talented recruit with Shaun Scott. The defensive end hails from nearby Mater Dei, one of the most tradition-rich prep football programs in the nation. Lincoln Riley and his staff have been trying to make inroads into the local program and Scott certainly helps.

Georgia stayed inside the Peach State and gained the commitment of a talented safety in Jordan Smith. He’s from Warner Robins and plays for Houston County. Many of the top SEC and ACC programs wanted Smith.

Finally, props to Northwestern’s staff for finding 6-8 offensive tackle Leighton Burbach and reeling him in from the state of Nebraska.
