Casey Lunceford joins us to introduce Terry Kavalec, and we discuss the Gifford Academy for the Performing Arts (Formerly the Gifford Youth Orchestra). Mr. Kavalec, who has recently discovered the organization, has authenticated a 1737 Stradivarius violin, which will be auctioned off in Palm Beach at the end of September. Fundraising for the Gifford Academy for the Performing Arts focuses on auctioning instruments to enhance arts education, while insights into violin making reveal its materials and history.
