About this listen
To those of you that don't yet know him, I have the distinct honor of introducing you all to C.R. 'Rusty' Cloutier .
Not only is he the founding president/CEO of MidSouth Bank, he is also a past Chairman of the Independent Community Bankers of America where he has testified frequently about banking before various congressional committees.
Now retired, Rusty has also been a past chair of the National Advisory Committee of Fannie Mae, a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission Advisory Committee on Smaller Public Companies, and a former Director of the New Orleans Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
He has been a commentator on banking in the media as well as a published author. His book Big Bad Banks takes you through his experiences in banking and the lessons we should all learn about how banking big shots and the government wrecked our economy by creating an avoidable crisis.
Get to know him as we talk about his life, beliefs, and the legacy he has created.
