    On this episode of BSTV, Ya Boi Shad and G. Downs sat down with the legendary Jody Breeze, a member of the iconic hip-hop group Boyz-N-Da Hood. They began by discussing his upbringing in Griffin, Georgia, and his subsequent move to South Florida for school. However, early trouble led to a move back to Griffin with his family. Breeze then recounted his journey into rap, revealing that he wasn’t initially drawn to the genre but was discovered by a local radio station after freestyling over the phone. This chance encounter led to a meeting with Jazzy Pha, who ultimately signed him to his label before the age of 18. After signing with Jazzy Pha and Noontime., Breeze went on to join Boyz-N-Da Hood with Young Jeezy, Big Duke, and Big Gee, and release the hit single “Dem Boyz.” The song became a global phenomenon, and one of the biggest songs out at the time. Breeze addressed a recent story made by Jeezy on the Drink Champs platform, where he claimed that Jeezy had everyone leave the studio to record his verse. He clarified that this was not the case. Lil Scrappy shared his life story, starting with his upbringing in Atlanta, Georgia, with his grandparents. Later, he moved in with his mother, unaware that he would stay with her for the rest of his adolescence. After relocating to a more urban area with his mother, Lil Scrappy faced challenges with kids who were more advanced than him. He also spoke about his mother’s drug dealing, pimping, and hustling activities, including hiding money in various locations. Lil Scrappy’s journey into hip-hop began when he started writing music at the age of 10. With his mother’s financial support he engaged in activities like photo shoots and CD printing to promote his music. A pivotal moment came when Lil Scrappy met Lil Jon and signed with BME Records after his hit song “Head Bussa” became a local sensation. He also recounted how he secured a record deal for the Atlanta group Crime Mob by simply mentioning the group to the record label. Lil Scrappy discussed the success of his hit single “Knuck If You Buck” and how he felt compelled to jump on the record. He also spoke about the breakup of Crime Mob and the reasons behind it.
