About this listen

According to Lori Mihalich-Levin, there are not enough resources out there about how to return to work after parental leave.

Managers often have great intentions to support new parents but they don’t know where to start and most of the new parents are just as clueless.

That’s why Lori has developed the exact resources she wanted when she returned to work after welcoming her kids.

In this episode she walks us through what managers need to be thinking about, what colleagues can do to support each other and how new parents can plan their own re-entry.

Everyone’s journey back to work is going to be different, but the more support we have, the better it’s going to go!

Question: What resources or support are offered to parents returning from leave? This population is often most at risk for dramatic impacts on their career upon having children. How [should a business] prepare managers, the [company], and the employee taking leave to be away from the workplace for an extended period of time and subsequently reintegrate?
