John Veitch talks about his visits to his "old friend" Alydar at Calumet. Charlie Rose discusses Alydar's retirement from racing, and saying goodbye to Alydar as he leaves the Belmont barn for the last time.  Rose visits Alydar one last time and the horse comes running to meet him and rears up on his hind legs in greeting. Dennis Yokum tells how Alydar arrived at Calumet and goes under an assumed name. John Veitch talks about Lundy's takeover and his own resignation, and how Lundy led Calumet into financial ruin. John Ward, who took over Calumet after Lundy quit, describes for the first time, his theory of how Alydar was injured.
