Welcome to Bikers Across The Nation — a grassroots, humanity-driven biker organization where respect rides alongside real talk. I’m Kathryn Anne, the founder and voice behind this mission.

We’re led by a five-member board made up of four passionate riders — Tink, Windsister, Bulldog, and Spitfire — and myself. While I don’t ride yet, I’ve sold nearly everything I own to travel across the U.S., meeting bikers and locals face-to-face. My mission is simple but deep: to listen, to learn, and to understand how this country truly works for the biker community and everyday people.

I’m the humanitarian of the crew — and one day, I’ll ride when the time is right. For now, I walk beside every single biker we serve.

From that deeply personal place, we open the door to a broader conversation, one about the judicial system and the growing need to ask hard questions. We discuss how to research, where to look, and why it’s urgent to understand the reality of biker profiling, especially when it comes to RICO charges. The truth is, justice in America doesn’t look the same everywhere. It changes depending on who’s in power, what department is in control, and the history of the community itself. That’s why the heart of Bikers Across The Nation is rooted in human dialogue. No matter the topic, death, law, injustice, or freedom, our mission is to make people feel seen, heard, and respected.     The Many Layers of Humanity, Nonprofits, and the Double Standard of Support

    We need to have a deeper conversation, one that peels back the many layers of what it means to be human, especially within the nonprofit world.

    Far too often, nonprofits are placed in a double bind, they're encouraged to raise funds to support their mission, but the moment they ask for help or attempt to grow, they're criticized or dismissed. This contradiction harms not just the organizations, but the people they serve, especially when those people are already vulnerable, such as veterans, families, or underserved communities.

    Recently, I came across a post involving a business that hosted a fundraiser claiming to support veterans. Yet in that same breath, they attempted to humiliate a veteran who simply questioned the direction of the event. It wasn’t just about differing opinions, it was about power, ego, and a lack of empathy. The event was clearly centered around a singular worldview, alienating anyone who didn’t align. And the saddest part? Many of the individuals being honored or “supported” are the very ones being left behind by policies and systems now being gutted, often with the support of the same people being invited to these events.

    We can't keep pretending this isn’t happening.

    This is the emotional double standard, raising money "for a cause," while silencing the voices of the very people you're claiming to help. Using them as a prop, not a partner. That is not humanity. That is not nonprofit work. That is not service.

    In my own post, I called attention to this contradiction. I also reflected on the importance of listening, not just to the voices we agree with, but especially to those we usually tune out. We have to stop assuming we know someone’s intent based on a headline, an outfit, a bike, or a patch. If we’re serious about unity, we need to stop equating disagreement with disrespect.

    This conversation isn't about shaming, it's about awareness. It's about recognizing the depth of the harm being done, not just politically, but emotionally and morally, when we allow these double standards to stand.

    We say we support freedom, then let’s practice it by making space for conversation, for dissent, for truth.

    The more we silence each other, the less we grow. The less we grow, the more we fail the very people we claim to stand for.

    Welcome to the podcast. Today, we’re diving into a topic that’s rarely discussed openly but affects so many of us doing nonprofit work: the way nonprofits,especially small or grassroots ones are often generalized and misunderstood because of the actions of larger organizations.

    This episode is about challenging those assumptions, opening up a dialogue about how fundraising should be viewed, and how we can do better when it comes to supporting each other; especially those who are truly putting in the work.

    My hope is that this conversation helps us grow, both as individuals and as communities. Because if we want real change, it starts by listening, reflecting, and refusing to lump every organization into one box. Let's talk about how we can raise funds ethically, serve our missions with transparency, and connect with one another on a human level.
