David Trotter is the founder and publisher of Awakened Magazine, and he is passionate about amplifying the voices of conscious leaders, healers, and coaches. He is the author of a dozen books including Empowered to Rise and Superconscious Conversations and the producer / director of four award-winning feature films on important social issues.

Early in his career, he invested a decade of his life as a pastor before transitioning out of full-time ministry and experiencing the freedom of a more inclusive spirituality. David earned a BA in Pastoral Ministries and MA (abt) in Church Leadership from Vanguard University (Costa Mesa, CA) as well as an MA in Cross Cultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, CA).
