 Seit knapp zehn Jahren ist Ayala Goldmann Redakteurin bei der Wochenzeitung „Jüdische Allgemeine“ in Berlin. Zu Beginn ihres journalistischen Werdegangs hat sie in Tel Aviv für die Nachrichtenagentur dpa gearbeitet. Ihr Vater kam 1959 aus Israel nach Deutschland, um Medizin zu studieren. Er hatte ein skeptisches Verhältnis zu Religion, pflegte aber die jüdischen Traditionen. Die gibt Ayala Goldmann jetzt auch an ihren Sohn weiter.
