Es herrscht Goldgräberstimmung in der Erdumlaufbahn: Das absehbare Ende der Internationalen Raumstation scheint kein Endpunkt, sonder erst der Anfang zu werden. So wie bei Raketen und Raumschiffen sind es nun auch beim Thema Raumstation private Anbieter, Firmen weltweit, die die Fußstapfen der ISS ausfüllen sollen. Die meisten Ideen kommen dabei von US-amerikanischen Unternehmen. Sie basteln derzeit an aufblasbaren Stationen, an modular aufgebauten und an solchen aus einem Guss. Aber auch andere Länder würden gerne etwas beisteuern zum Run auf den Orbit.
