About this listen

I met Ted Galante at ICFF + Wanted Design. His Manhattan chair immediately grab my attention, he made multiple layers of maps and made the layers with layers of history. The chair tells the story through its time-captured design. I interviewed Ted Galante, he is a critically recognized American architect. Both his buildings and furniture have been the subject of national and internal design awards and have been published widely in several periodicals and books.

About The Urban Fabric Series

“In response to the question, "Can a chair evoke a sense of place as strongly as a building does?" architect and furniture designer Ted Galante introduces the Urban Fabric Series chair. Galante incorporates maps into the chair's design, drawing inspiration from the layers of the earth's strata. When we sit on these chairs, they embrace us, capturing the essence of history that spans centuries.”
