The Caverns prepare to reopen to the public on February 1, 2025 after closing the caverns in 2021 due to an elevator issue. Chris talks with Vickie Orcutt, Roxanne Davis and Paul Jorgenson about the past, present and the future of this classic Mother Road attraction which opened in 1926. Although the caverns are some 17+ million year old, the location celebrates their Centennial with Route 66 in 2026!

The ongoing events not listed on the Event Calendar include some fun activities like walking tours, ghost towns, must see and maybe not so much go see Arizona locations and really oddities along the mother Road. For those that are planning their Route 66 Centennial Road Trip in 2026? We have some events already being planned and promoted. These events will then be moved to the main calendar as we get closer.

We invited Google's AI hosts to visit our new website and give their point of view of its contents and WOW, were we surprised! So much so, we wanted to share as a sneak peek as to what is coming in November... Enjoy!

This "Live" Podcast we share time with Kenneth Large, Operations and Logistics Manager of Roys Motel and Cafe in Amboy, CA (@visitamboy). The famous 50 foot Roy's Motel and Cafe neon sign on Route 66 has been the beacon of the desert since 1959 and Roy's has been welcoming travelers on The Main Street Of America since 1938. So much Mother Road history to share and the future? Let's just say, they have big changes coming for the Centennial celebration in 2026!

A few backroad must see and do’s and we learn about her love of being part of the S.O.S. Donkey Haven; a non-profit safe haven for all donkey’s placed in their care. Her work with the Oatman Tailings Society and her life as a "Soaper". We learn more about the life of Clark Gable, an Oatman regular and the famous "Honeymoon Night" in Oatman heading home from a courthouse Wedding in Kingman.
