 Anything but DnD is a casual actual play podcast where people gather to play ttrpgs that are NOT Dungeons and Dragons. We look to explore new systems, settings and playstyles. Some of us are family, old friends and new friends! Some have decades of experience playing many ttrpgs; some are new players who only have played DnD before. IMO, the stories presented in the games are pretty accurate to those you'd play in real life. We are not actors or professionals, just regular people enjoying a hobby.     This session we are playing the roleplaying game Brindlewood Bay! This cozy murder mystery game was written by Jason Cordova and published by the Gauntlet. The players play as Murder Mavens, elderly women who are amateur detectives who solve a murder in their coastal Massachusetts town of Brindlewood Bay. At the table today is Russell playing Rivka, Lisha playing Fannie, and Chloe playing Vicki. The winter holidays have come to Brindlewood Bay and while participating in a caroling fundraiser, the Mavens get sucked into the family drama surrounding the Hawthorne family after the murder of miserly matriarch, Amelia Hawthorne. Will the Mavens be able to gain the family's trust and investigate the murder of the this wealthy town pariah?
