Duo né il y a tout juste deux ans de la rencontre de Mathilda et Jamie, Split Cake égrène une pop-folk délicate et finement ciselée, où les arrangements de clarinette, bugle, contrebasse et autres instruments joués par une ribambelle d'invités viennent compléter le piano-guitare-voix des deux musiciens. Le résultat, ce sont des chansons concises et précises, où chaque arrangement trouve sa place. Le défi pour le duo à présent est de transcrire tout cela sur scène : ce sera fait pour la première fois cet été à Angers.
