  • Kristen Modafferi
    Aug 16 2025

June 1, 1997 was Kristen Modafferi’s 18th birthday. On that day, she flew from her home in North Carolina to California to take a summer photography class at UC Berkeley. Twenty-three days later, she disappeared.

Police initially believed that she left on her own, but her family knew she would never do that. As the investigation unfolded, plenty of suspects popped up: the four male strangers she was renting a room from; a mysterious blonde woman she was seen talking to the afternoon she disappeared; the violent man who called a news station to say he knew exactly what had happened to her. But despite years of investigations by police and private investigators, the whereabouts of Kristen Modafferi, a brilliant, artistic young woman living her dream summer, remain unknown.

If you have information about the disappearance of Kristen Modafferi, please contact the Oakland Police Department Missing Persons Unit at 510-238-3641.

  • Diamond Bynum and King Walker
    Aug 10 2025

On July 25, 2015, 21-year-old Diamond Bynum and her 2-year-old nephew, King Walker, vanished from Gary, Indiana. Diamond, who lived with Prader-Willi syndrome—a rare genetic disorder affecting appetite, development, and cognition—had the mental capacity of a young child and required constant supervision. That morning, Diamond and King set out for a walk from the home they shared with family members. They never returned.

Despite immediate searches and community efforts, no confirmed sightings of Diamond or King have ever been reported. Was this a case of two vulnerable people simply wandering too far, or did something far more sinister happen in those missing hours?

If you have any information about the disappearance of Diamond Bynum and King Walker, please contact the Gary Police Department at (219) 881-1214 or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.

  • Kianna Galvin
    Jul 20 2025

Seventeen-year-old Kianna Galvin had just celebrated earning her GED and had plans to attend art school in Atlanta. But on May 6, 2016, she left her family’s home in South Elgin, Illinois, to visit someone in her neighborhood—and vanished without a trace. As hours turned into days, critical evidence began pointing investigators toward a dark possibility: that something terrible happened just blocks from her home.

Though police initially believed her to be a runaway, phone records and witness statements pointed to something far more sinister. But despite blood evidence, suspicious renovations, and conflicting statements from a person of interest, no arrests have been made in Kianna’s case, and nine years after her disappearance, there is still no trace of the bright, friendly teenager. Did someone she trusted betray her that spring afternoon? What really happened to Kianna Galvin?

If you have any information about what happened to Kianna Galvin, please reach out to the South Elgin Police Department at (847) 741-2151 or the Cook County Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit at 773-674-9490.

  • Re-Release: Logan Schiendelman
    Jul 13 2025

This episode originally aired on June 16, 2021

19-year-old Logan Schiendelman went for a drive early one morning. When he returned home, he told his grandmother, Ginnie, that he had an epiphany about his life. Logan had been floundering for the past year, so Ginnie hoped this meant that he was turning a corner. He had been struggling with his mixed-race identity, and his freshman year at Washington State University had not gone as planned.

Now, he was back in his hometown of Tumwater, Washington, working odd jobs and trying to figure out what his next move was going to be. Ginnie told Logan that they’d discuss his epiphany when she got home from work that evening. But when she returned home, Logan wasn’t there. Over the next few days, a bizarre mystery unfolded, with an abandoned car, possible sightings, and unidentified men. Logan’s case has baffled the community, but there’s one thing his family is certain of: someone out there has answers.
