About this listen

Welcome to the American Trade Unionist! My name is John Kahrhoff and I am member of IBEW Local 1 in St. Louis. I established this daily podcast to help distribute the IBEW’s message to the men and women of the Carpenters’ Electrical Local 57. Compared to my work in the field an organizer’s job is pretty straightforward. I simply provide unrepresented electrical workers with the information they need to make an informed decision regarding the IBEW. What makes this work challenging is when competing interests provide information that conflicts with mine. The IBEW’s founding principle was to organize and improve the working conditions of electrical workers, we remain committed to that goal. I encourage you to visit http://jointheibew.org and exercise your federally protected right as a worker by signing a union authorization card. Thank you, JohnElectrical Workers' Local 1 Personal Development Personal Success

Liberating workers living under a substandard agreement is impossible if they are paralyzed by fear. Here is the link to the NLRB's Employee's Rights poster: https://www.nlrb.gov/news-publications/publications/employee-rights-notice-posting
