About this listen

Despite still being just 24 years old, Tamworth's Alfie Bates already has an impressive football CV. The midfielder has played club football in Finland and in European competition, as well as in the EFL for Walsall. He has also won silverware - the 2024/25 National League North title with Brackley Town, before joining Tamworth in the summer of 2025.


We spoke to Alfie a few days before Tamworth’s visit to Scunthorpe United in December.
