  • Morocco's AFCON 2025 Problems No One Is Talking About!
    Dec 22 2025

Morocco’s AFCON 2025 Problems No One Is Talking About! As Africa Cup of Nations 2025 kicks off in Morocco, there’s a side of this story mainstream media won’t touch — and we’re bringing it to YOU. From regional tensions to historical controversies, we dig deeper into the political and cultural heat behind AFCON 2025.In this video we look at:⚠️ Morocco’s tricky relationship with Sub-Saharan Africa — many fans and commentators in West and Southern Africa feel sidelined or disrespected by North African football politics, and there’s a long-standing narrative that Morocco and some northern countries don’t fully embrace sub-Saharan teams and fans (and we’ll break down why this matters on and off the pitch).🏟️ The 2015 AFCON refusal — Morocco was originally set to host the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, but pulled out citing Ebola fears. CAF stripped them of hosting rights and disqualified their team, then hit them with fines and bans (later reduced on appeal) — a major controversy that still lingers in African football history. 🌍 African Union politics and history — Morocco actually withdrew from the predecessor to the African Union in 1984 because the OAU admitted the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, a move Rabat opposed. That meant Morocco wasn’t in the continental body for decades until it rejoined the AU in 2017 — highlighting deeper political divisions on the continent. 📉 Social & political undercurrents — Beyond football, there’s youth unrest in Morocco around jobs, healthcare, and national priorities, fueling criticism over big sports events while everyday problems go unsolved. 📊 Are we ignoring these tensions? This video asks the questions others are too scared to ask.👇 Watch, comment, and let us know — is AFCON 2025 really just a celebration of football, or is it a mirror reflecting decades of political friction in Africa? 👇#AFCON2025 #Morocco2025 #Morocco #AfricanFootball #FootballControversy #Africatime stamp 00:00 introduction to 2025 Morocco Afcon 03:00 Morocco's Role and historical context 05:52 infrastructure and preparation for AFCON 2025 Morocco 08:03 Predictions and favorites for the tournament 09:17 Nigeria calls out Congo for playing ineligible players12:09 Afcon 2025 Predictions

    REST IN PEACE DJ WARRAS

    youtube.com/@amkapodcast

Warrick Stock, known as DJ Warras, was shot and killed on December 16, 2025, in what investigators describe as a "targeted hit" related to his work with hijacked buildings in the Johannesburg CBD. The key circumstances surrounding his death include:

    • Work with Hijacked Buildings: Warras was a co-owner of a security company contracted to manage and reclaim buildings from "hijackers" (illegal occupants). At the time of the shooting, he had just spent several hours at Zambesi House overseeing the installation of security systems and mechanisms intended to ensure occupants paid rent.
    • Targeted Retaliation: Johannesburg MMC for Public Safety, Dr. Mgcini Tshwaku, stated that building hijackers likely saw Warras's work as a direct threat to their illegal income. Investigators believe a "price was put on his head" because of these efforts.
    • Prior Threats: Warras had reportedly secured five protection orders against individuals who had previously threatened him. These individuals are expected to be questioned as part of the murder investigation.

    • The Incident: Warras was ambushed outside Zambesi House, near the Carlton Centre, as he was approaching his vehicle while on a phone call. CCTV footage shows three suspects were involved, including a gunman with dreadlocks who opened fire at close range.
    • Not a Robbery: Although Warras was armed at the time, nothing was stolen from him, leading police to rule out robbery as a motive.

His death has highlighted the extreme dangers associated with reclaiming hijacked properties in South Africa's inner cities.
