About this listen
A growing number of people around the world have come to believe that Christmas originated from various pagan traditions. I mean it would be hard not to think the same with all the rumors floating around the world’s office water cooler I call the internet. Some of the more popular scuttlebuds are that the timing of Christmas may have been borrowed from Roman sun god worship, another is that Christmas trees come from Germanic paganism and then one of my favorite and more ridiculous rumors is that the star on top of the Christmas tree stems from astrological glorification. But these myths are all so wrong.
The history and origins of Christmas are trying to be rewritten. People have been attempting to replace the truth about this amazing holiday with urban legends. They have been covering the honesty and purity of how this holiday started with myths, lies, flimflam and a dash of tomfoolery. The celebration of the Nativity of our Lord is a thoroughly Christian celebration… and I’m about to show you why.
