この現地視察をきっかけに畑さんが語る「フェニックスレポート3部作」の第1作目です。
第9回では、テレビ画面に映る「真っ青なフェアウェイ」がどんな技術で生み出されているのか、そしてその美しさの裏で、本来見落としてはいけない「ベース作り」の重要性について話しています。
今回の中心テーマは オーバーシーディング。
- 色を補うための播種
- ターフを揃えるための播種
この2つは似ているようでまったく違います。
ベースと表面処理のバランスを誤ると、プレーのフェアネスにも影響してしまう。
