About this listen
I love helping others, especially if that means dropping off some homemade soup or donuts. Reverse the roles? Not so much. Many of us (ahem, basically ALL of us) would much prefer to be the helper than the helped. Whether that’s helping out someone in need or just fixing our own mess, we DO NOT, no-way-no-how enjoy asking for help. So, we don’t…because we’ve bought into another lie from Genesis 3. Grab your coffee and let’s tackle the next sneaky, little lie in our series: Did God Really Say?
www.glordinary.com Here’s a small excerpt: “They immediately start helping. Helping themselves, because God helps those who help themselves, right? Nope. Not only is that idea never found in Scripture, thank you Ben Franklin who wrote it in Poor Richard’s Almanac, but the concept isn’t even Biblical. God helps those who are helpless to help themselves.”
