What happens when a queer director who grew up going to Christian schools finally gets a chance to make a movie about it? The results are a movie that starts out as a dark comedy and somehow ends as a Lifetime Original movie. Dan and Ryan discuss the highs and lows of 2004's Saved starring Jena Malone, Mandy Moore, and Macaulay Culkin. It's a mix of spot-on satire and cringey comedic bits that haven't aged well, with some confusing theological messaging thrown in for good measure.
