Η τράπεζα της προθέσεως, ένα από τα σκεύη που βρίσκονταν μέσα στη Σκηνή του Μαρτυρίου, ήταν κατασκευασμένη από ξύλο ακακίας και ήταν επιστρωμένη με καθαρό χρυσάφι. Διαστάσεων δύο πηχών (90 εκατοστά ή 3 πόδια) σε μήκος, ενάμισι πήχη (67,5 εκατοστά ή 2,2 πόδια) σε ύψος, και ενός πήχη (45 εκατοστά ή 1,5 πόδια) σε πλάτος. Στην τράπεζα της προθέσεως ήσαν πάντα τοποθετημένοι 12 άρτοι και αυτοί οι άρτοι μπορούσαν να φαγωθούν μόνο από τους ιερείς (Λευιτικό 24:5-9).
