הנושא השני הוא: "כי מה שלא יכלה התורה לעשות הנחלשה על ידי הבשר עשה האלוהים" (אל הרומיים 8:3). המשמעות היא שכיוון שהאנשים בבשרם לא יכלו לנהוג על פי התורה אשר ניתנה על ידי אלוהים, ישוע המשיח, בלוקחו את כל חטאיהם על עצמו עם טבילתו ומותו על הצלב, הושיע אותם מחטאיהם ומהמשפט. מכיוון שישוע המשיח בא אל האדמה הזו, ולקח את כל חטאי בני האדם אחת ולתמיד על ידי הטבלתו בידי יוחנן, הוא יכל לשאת את כל חטאי העולם על צלבו, להיצלב עליו, ולקום מהמתים כדי להושיע את כל אלה אשר האמינו באמת הזו. כל הפעולות האלה של אדונינו התכוונו לבצע את צדקת האלוהים של הושעת החוטאים מחטאיהם, בהתאם לרצונו של אלוהינו האב.
