About this listen

We are broadcasting this warm interview again from Washington D.C., where the award ceremony of the WVA (World Veterinary Association) conference & AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) Convention has just taken place. Our guest, Professor Mangala Gunatilake, has introduced laboratory animal science education to Sri Lanka to promote animal welfare and the ethical use of animals in the country and beyond. In recognition of her outstanding achievements, the WVA has awarded her in Animal Welfare this this year. Mangala is the Founder President of both the Sri Lanka Association of Laboratory Animal Science (SLALAS) and the Society for Alternatives to Animal Testing (SAAT SL).
