このコーナーでは、心に響く「ポエジーなもの」を毎週お届けしています。今週は『希望の火を』著: 塔 和子をご紹介しました。
ハンセン病という過酷な病を背負いながら、いのちの尊さを謳い続けた詩人、塔和子（とう かずこ）さんの詩集です。塔和子さん（1929年 - 2013年）は、愛媛県出身の詩人です。若くしてハンセン病を発症し、国立療養所大島青松園で生涯を過ごされました。社会からの隔離や差別という重い苦難を経験しながらも、失われることのない人間の誇りや、他者とのつながり、そして「生きること」の本質を平易かつ深い言葉で綴り続けました。1999年には、その功績により現代詩人賞を受賞されています。
