 2022年11月13日、当時中学3年生の梶谷恭暉（かじたにみつき）さんが、「塾に行く」と倉敷市内の自宅を出てから行方不明となっている。
防犯カメラの映像などから、恭暉さんはその日、自宅最寄りのJR倉敷駅から電車で広島県の三原駅に、その後フェリー乗り場に向かい、尾道市の生口島に渡ったとみられている。また、生口島の路上では恭暉さんのスマートフォンと本が見つかった。
ディレクターは、生口島で情報を集める母親に同行した。
