Il y a un sacrificateur nommé Melchisédek apparaissant dans l’Ancien Testament. Quand nous regardons en Genèse chapitre 17, nous voyons Abraham lever une armée et la former dans sa propre maison pour faire la guerre à Kedorlaomer roi d’Elam et d’autres rois alliés avec lui, et secourir son neveu Lot après les avoir tous vaincus. A ce moment-là, sur le chemin du retour de guerre d’Abraham, un sacrificateur nommé Melchisédek lui a apporté du pain et du vin et l’a béni. Donc Abraham a mis de côté la dîme du butin de la guerre et l’a donné à Melchisédek le sacrificateur (Genèse 14:17-20).
