With the team reunited back at the base, Spike with Donny’s help successfully download someone from the Proxy Zone into the red suit. A computer programmer himself, the man affectionately known as Red, explains the source of the anomaly. It turns out Donny and everyone else are just video game characters on a cloud server.
Red explains that a bug in the code has forced the Proxy Zone to reboot the entire system, effectively erasing everyone back to factory settings.
