המשכן היה מורכב מ 48 קרשים; 20 קרשים לצד הדרומי והצפוני, שישה קרשים לחלק המערבי, ושני קרשים לפינות האחוריות. מידת כל קרש הייתה בערך 4.5 מטר באורך ובערך 67.5 סנטימטר ברוחב. כדי שכל קרש יעמוד ישר, היו שני אדני כסף ושתי ידות אשר התאימו יחדיו בדיוק. זה מראה לנו שוב שישועת אלוהים ניתנת רק על ידי חסדו באמצעות האמונה במשיח.
