Сама скинія складалася з 48 дошок; по двадцять дошок з південної та північної сторони, шість дошок із західної сторони і дві дошки по двох кутах із задньої сторони. Кожна дошка була 4,5 м. (15 футів) завдовжки і приблизно 67,5 см. (2,2 фута) завширшки. Щоб кожна дошка стояла рівно, вона мала дві срібні підстави і дві ручки, міцно з’єднані між собою. Це знову показує нам, що спасіння Боже дається тільки завдяки Його ласці через віру в Христа.
