 “Questa è un'università, mica un bagno turco!" È il 1915 quando, con queste parole, il celebre matematico tedesco David Hilbert inveisce contro il senato accademico dell'università di Göttingen. Un bagno turco prevede orari e spazi separati per uomini e donne. Per questo Hilbert fa questa similitudine: perché mai un'università dovrebbe fare caso al genere dei professori o, peggio, negare una cattedra a una donna?
